My interactions with Fahim during our site visits were incredibly enlightening, providing me with invaluable insights and medical knowledge. During our meeting, he shared his previous history in teaching clinical skills during didactic sessions for our PA program and his current work in interventional radiology. Throughout our meetings, Fahim adopted a structured approach, having each of us present individually and defending each of our differential diagnoses for each History and Physical (H&P). Emphasizing the significance of formulating a comprehensive and coherent treatment plan for every patient, he highlighted this as a critical aspect of an H&P. While he acknowledged the common struggles PA students face in this area, Fahim provided invaluable guidance during our initial meeting, setting clear expectations to help us better prepare for our final evaluation. Applying the feedback from our initial visit, I found my presentation during the second visit significantly improved. Presenting a case of bacterial sinusitis, I supported my rationale and treatment plan for the patient in the manner that he stressed to us during our mid evaluation. Fahim took notice of these changes for our final evaluation and told us that we three students had improved and he was impressed. Looking ahead, I eagerly anticipate future site visits, recognizing each as an opportunity for unique learning experiences and refining my critical thinking when applying it to medicine.
