Site Visit Summary

My site visit with Professor Alie was very straightforward and I appreciate the feedback he left on typhon about what I should work on. The case I presented on was on a 56 y/o M that had right hand and elbow swelling that was diagnosed as a case of Gout, which was interesting to see in person while on my rotation. I was able to present my cases over zoom along with other students in the family medicine rotation with no issues. I felt that Professor Alie was able to show me areas of my H&P that were lacking or missing proper information , which I will improve on in the future. During my midsite visit, one of the feedback that I got from him was to focus more on my pertinent positives and negatives of the case that gives better flow to presenting a patient case. This is something I adopted during my final visit and was able to address it on my last two H&Ps. We also went through our pharm cards with Professor Alie, where he tested each of us with the different indications, MOAs, side effects and dosages of the 10 different drugs that I had selected to present. Overall, I believe that I am striving to improve on these future site visits and always like to read through feedback to further improve my skills as student and future PA.
